Alternative technique for rapid body cooling in the treatment of exertional heat illness (EHI), Designed by Ron Courson, ATC, PT, NREMT-I, CSCS (Director of Sports Medicine, University of Georgia), Kept refrigerated or in an ice cooler prior to use, it maintains a temperature range from ~ 40-60 degrees F. Arm portals allow for easy monitoring of vital signs, and continued IV hydration.
